All banyans grow from roots. The same is true with Kendriya Vidyalaya, Srikakulam as a constituent of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatan an autonomous body under The Ministry of Human Resource Development (Education) Govt. of India. The school was established in June 1994 with two staff members and 160 students. Sri Mallayya was the principal then.  At present, the bud blossomed into a flower with sanctioned staff and students.

These are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.  Concerted effort for imbibing cultural and musical aptitude among children are designed and made in the well stocked music room with skilled guidance.  All round development is taken care of by having regular co-curricular and sports and games activities.  Excursions and educational films make learning fun.
